We are seeking a TM Safety & Project Manager to join our On Board Experience (OBE) team at Eurostar. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to deploying our customer experience strategy and work closely with the Train Management teams to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and above all, safety.
Job Overview The successful candidate will manage the safety and project teams, report to the OBE Director, and deputise for them in their absence. You will oversee the safety of our Train Management personnel, manage projects on behalf of the OBE department, and ensure the smooth functioning of our systems and tools.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management
- Manage a team of 3 people responsible for safety and business communication
- Motivate and support team members, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Address operational issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives
2. Safety Management
- Ensure the safety of customers, staff, and subcontractors
- Develop and implement safety action plans and control measures
- Deliver safety training and maintain competence records for Train Managers
3. Project Management
- Lead projects from conception to implementation, including planning and governance
- Monitor project results and implement corrective actions as needed
4. Systems and Tools Management
- Represent OBE on Train Manager systems and ensure their smooth functioning
- Collaborate with IT to gather requirements and improve system functionality
5. Communication
- Produce and distribute the Spark On Board newsletter and manage the Process + documentation platform
- Adapt communication formats to meet the needs of different stakeholders
6. Deputising for OBE Director
- Provide continuity of service and represent the OBE department in the Director's absence
- Participate in departmental strategy and company-wide projects
- Support teams and foster a positive work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in railway or aviation operations, preferably in a service or train accompaniment role
- Confirmed experience in team management, ideally in a high-risk industry such as rail
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems and railway regulations
- Project management skills, including planning and monitoring
- Leadership, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in French and English
